I’ll keep this short. Even if you don’t celebrate Thanksgiving, I want to use the holiday as an opportunity to thank everyone who continues to make Crossplay possible. It has been one of the most rewarding projects of my career, and it’s almost single handedly responsible for keeping me in the business of writing and reporting. Absent this, I might have decided “you know, more than 20 years is enough, maybe it’s time to try something new.” But no, Crossplay’s mission is deeply personal, and I’m touched so many of you have come along for the ride. I’m grateful for anyone who reads, pays, or recommends the newsletter to someone else. Crossplay is only here because of you.
On that last note, if we’re to pause and do a little business, remember that it’s possible to gift subscriptions for Crossplay, if you think someone might be interested in it!
Over the next few days, I’ll be playing 1000xResist on my Steam Deck, making use of my newly acquired PlayStation Portal by playing the early parts of Silent Hill 2 and Star Wars Outlaws a second time, as I try to catch up to where I made it on the PC versions of those games. (Figured I’d try and get mileage out of my Pro and Portal in one go!)
I will also, of course, watch the Chicago Bears lose a football game and spend a bunch of time with friends, family, and one too many beers. I’m really looking forward to it.
Next week, Crossplay returns in full. Until then…
To mark the occasion, I turn it back to you: what are you thankful for this year?

Rough ending for the Bears yesterday
Happy thanksgiving!
