Did you play the switch 1 or switch 2 version? For some reason they have two skus and the switch 2 version doesn't appear compatible with sw1 and the sw1 version doesn't appear to run better on sw2 according to the eshop. I want the kids to be able to play on the sw 1 but I want it to run the best it can on sw2.

Game seems great but making this complicated for a kids game is really annoying.

Patrick, a couple years ago I almost pitched you a story about how my then 4YO daughter played Princess Peach for Switch and, of all things, Barney for Sega Genesis one weekend -- and how the latter was a better gaming experience for her simply because it talked. Simple, Sega Genesis instructions, but it was enough to instruct her on what to do next without my help.

Peach, on the other hand, was in her wheelhouse for gameplay (she won her first unassisted boss battle playing it!), but the constant chatter from the NPCs and non-voiced cutscenes were absolutely baffling to me. As you mentioned above, Nintendo could certainly afford VO for that and would have enhanced the game for the pre-reading-age set. And everyone else, for that matter!

Now my daughter is 6 and starting to read well. I wonder how her Peach experience would be now versus then. Might have to try that out...

But yeah -- kudos to the Bluey game for adding VO. Especially for licensed titles aimed at young kids, it's pretty much essential.

(Not sure if it displays my name here, but it's your old pal Chris Baker! 😀 )
