We are, like most families, a big Bluey household. Episodes are regularly on the TV, even though we’ve seen them countless times. The video game was a blast, even though it wasn’t very good. Everyone—mom, dad, both kids—cried during the big 30-minute episode earlier this year. So when we found out an in-person Bluey event was coming to Chicago, where the kids could explore the Heeler household, we were in.
My expectations were low, frankly, much like the game. I was convinced it would be, at most, a recreation of their iconic house with toy to play with and not much more.
I was, thankfully, very wrong.
